Early Childhood Educator

Legacy Children’s Centre offers an inclusive environment and is seeking a motivated Early Childhood Educator ll/III to fill a permanent position.

A successful ECE II/III at our centre is expected to:

understand the areas from which the program draws inspiration, particularly child inspired play-based learning.
participate in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program.
observe children’s emerging interests and provide research-based opportunities and materials.
mentor and guide staff to meet their fullest potential.
be comfortable upholding the values and beliefs of the centre as well as our partnership with Heartland Community Church (see website).
We offer a play-based approach to learning with a focus on the great outdoors!

Eligible Candidates

A successful candidate will require:

- a classification (ECE ll) from the Province of Manitoba
current first aid and CPR certification
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Persons
- Child Abuse Registry Check
- familiarity with Circle of Security philosophy (in house training)
- an ability to take initiative and think outside the box
- a desire to be part of a small team environment
- a love of laughter:)
