At Lakewood Children’s Centre Inc. we offer the highest quality of care and ensure the physical and intellectual well-being of our children by providing a comprehensive, stimulating, and age-appropriate program based on the mutual needs of the children, staff, and families in our program.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Centre Manager and Executive Director to provide clear guidance and leadership to Educators, while overseeing the planning and implementation of the center's curriculum and program offerings.
Other responsibilities include staff scheduling and time management, ensuring that adequate coverage is in place each day to meet required ratios. The School Age Supervisor mentors staff both on and off the floor, ensuring that support for planning time is provided as needed.
Creative thinking, along with the ability to ensure that children, families, and colleagues feel understood and respected, reflects how the School Age Supervisor represents the Lakewood community.
This position has its primary responsibilities on the floor, working directly with children and Educators to remain attuned to children’s interests and to identify where staff may need additional support, mentorship, or direction.
The School Age Supervisor also acts as a liaison for families, school and is responsible for a variety of tasks that promote the smooth day to day operation of the program. They will assume duties as assigned in the absence of the Centre Manager and executive director.
Effective communication and the ability to think creatively when addressing conflicts or concerns are essential skills for this role.

The Ideal Candidate
Lakewood Children’s Centre is seeking an experienced ECE II or III to join our team.
The ideal candidate is passionate about building relationships, mentoring others, collaborating, and supporting the growth of both children and colleagues. A strong image of the child understanding that behaviour is a form of communication is essential, as this applies to children, families, and team members alike.
Our program operates before and after school, as well as during lunch hours, and flexibility within these times is important.
The Ideal Candidate Is
ECE II or III classification (Province of Manitoba)

Current First Aid & CPR Level C certification

Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
