Full Description

We have 3 preschool programs, licensed for 16 children ages 2-5 years in each room and 2 infant programs, licensed for 8 infants ages 3 months - 2 years in each room. 

The ideal candidate will work with a strong team including the program Supervisor, co-workers, families and the Assistant Director to provide a safe, caring and educational environment.

  • Assist in planning and implementing daily activities for infant or preschool
  • Provide additional support within the program to help co-regulate children with additional support needs
  • Ensure the safety and well being of all children at all times
  • Implement and complete daily routines/ transitions/ various cleaning duties
  • Provide compassionate attentive care to children
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes learning and development
  • Communicate effectively with parents and co-workers
  • Be a supportive team member who is able to collaborate and work with other team members to achieve program goals

The Ideal Candidate Is

  • Reliable
  • Experience with Preschool/ and or Infant Programs
  • Team player
  • Familiarity with emergent curriculum/play-based approach
  • Familiarity with Circle of Security philosophy an asset but not required
  • Ability to take initiative and think outside the box
  • Eligible candidates must obtain/provide: 
    • ECE classification
    • First Aid/CPR
    • Commit to Kids Certificate
    • Current Criminal/Child Abuse Check
    • Center-provided Circle of Security training
