Eligible candidates should have experience and/or skills in the following areas:

• Providing mentoring, coaching, and support to a team of Educators in an early learning setting.
• Strong conflict resolution skills. Comfortable handling difficult conversations with staff  and/or families.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development.
• Set and maintain staff expectations and lead by example.
• A thorough understanding of early childhood development and inclusive programming. Knowledge and experience with Pedagogy. 
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, leadership, families and community partners.
• Valid Manitoba driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle. Open to obtaining a class 4 license.
• High proficiency in typing and computer skills. Able to efficiently navigate a variety of computer programs including Microsoft word and excel. Experience with using Fastoche.
• Flexibility to work any shift as needed. As a requirement of this position, the suitable candidate must be able to respond to last minute unexpected changes in staff schedules which may occur outside of regular working hours.
• Enjoys spending time outside in all weather. An appreciation for outdoor play and nature education is an asset.
• Able to ensure smooth day to day operations of the Centre in the absence of the Executive Director and/or Assistant Director.

Lord Roberts Children's Programs Inc is a not-for-profit, government funded and licensed Child Care Centre. We manage a full preschool program for 59 children between the ages of 2 and 6 years. Our Centre is open Monday to Friday, from 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
