Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a prepared environment that supports children’s developmental needs.
  • Conduct student observations and assessments.
  • Model positive guidance techniques and strong classroom management
  • Communicate effectively with parents, administrators and coworkers.
  • Model and train team members on best practices and the Montessori pedagogy.
  • Support team members and provide feedback to foster their growth.
  • Implement the Montessori curriculum and prepare materials
  • Maintain accurate documentation (attendance, developmental checklists, and daily logs) to support ongoing assessment.
  • Create individualized student lesson plans and annual progress reports.
  • Supervise and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students.
  • Ensure the classroom environment remains sanitary and safe, adhering to MELCC standards.

The Ideal Candidate Is

Job Overview:

Bridgwater Montessori Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Teacher to join our dynamic team. This permanent position is an excellent opportunity for educators committed to fostering a nurturing and inspiring environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of lead teaching experience in a preschool setting and must possess Preschool Montessori Training from a MACTE accredited training center.

Qualifications:

  • Casa Montessori training from a MACTE-accredited program. Dual Montessori training will also be considered and viewed as an asset. (Please note that we will only accept applications from candidates with this specific training.)
  • Minimum 2 years of lead teaching experience in a preschool environment.
  • Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.
  • Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check in the province of Manitoba.
  • Ability to obtain a clear Child Abuse Registry Check in the province of Manitoba.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively within our team.
  • Ability to lift and carry children as needed.
