Since 1983, Lovin’ N Learnin’ Day Care has been more than a childcare center, it is an extension of home. We are a tight-knit, 24-space preschool dedicated to nurturing children’s natural curiosity, confidence, and independence. We strongly believe that when children are supported according to their unique interests, they thrive.

If you are looking for an opportunity that allows you to continue to spend your days “on the floor” with children, with a dash of essential administrative duties sprinkled in, we have the perfect role for you.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Executive Director (ED) who is ready to jump in with both feet and provide both leadership and mentorship for our team of 5-6 dedicated educators and support programming for our 24 children. The ED will serve as the primary bridge between our Board of Directors, our families, and the provincial ELCC program.

The Ideal Candidate Is
What You Bring
Qualifications:
- You hold an ECE Level III certification.
- Possess a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to support centre operations.
- Valid Manitoba driver’s license and consistent access to a reliable vehicle.
Experience: You bring at least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in childcare or a non-profit environment, with a strong grasp of Manitoba’s childcare regulations, funding frameworks, and licensing standards.
Financial Fluency:You are proficient in budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting.
Technology Skills:
- Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability using Child Care Online.
- Experience with Fastoche, Brightwheel, or QuickBooks is a significant asset.
Leadership Style:You are a proven mentor who thinks creatively, recognizes the contributions of every team member and fosters a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work culture.
Adaptability: You balance big-picture strategy with the "in-the-moment" demands of a busy preschool center with ease and sound judgment.
Your Key Focus Areas
- Centre Excellence: Leading curriculum design and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
- Financial Stewardship: Managing the annual budget, financial controls, and grant opportunities.
- Team Empowerment: Recruiting, supervising, and mentoring our staff of 5–6 educators.
- Community & Governance: Providing insightful reporting to the Board and maintaining strong relationships with our families and the ELCC.
