Lakewood Children’s Centre is looking for a caring, energetic, and enthusiastic ECE II to join our team! We are located inside Lakewood Elementary School in the Crestview/Unicity area of Winnipeg and are within walking distance of Winnipeg Transit routes

Position Responsibilities
As an ECE II, you will:
- Support the planning and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ensure licensing regulations and centre policies are followed
- Encourage children’s independence, creativity, and confidence

Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Hold a valid ECE II/III classification
- Have a strong understanding of child development and best practices
- Be able to work cooperatively in a team setting
- Be self-motivated, reliable, and flexible
- Be willing to work shifts between 6:45 AM – 5:30PM
Additional Requirements
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Child Abuse Registry Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Completed Commit to kids training (Or willing to obtain prior to start date)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous childcare experience
- Training in Circle of Security or W.E.V.A.S.
