Full Description
Living Prairie Childcare Inc. is looking for a child care assistant (CCA) to work in our preschool program at our site 1 location. We are located in the south end of Winnipeg, in the Sage Creek area.
We are a play based centre that focuses on using a combination of planned programming and emergent curriculum. Our classrooms run on enhanced ratios, with 16 children ages 2-4 years old in each preschool room. We have a large outdoor area and many community parks in the neighborhood to explore.
We offer full time permanent staff; 3 weeks of vacation, 8 personal days, health benefits through Blue Cross, group pension plan and competitive salary scale (starting at $19.97 per hour). We close the centre for 4 professional development days throughout the year and plan multiple staff outings and team building activities to help keep a positive and professional atmosphere.
The successful candidate must have or be willing to obtain:

-First Aid & CPR Training
-Online "Commit to Kids" Training

We are looking for a candidate with experience working in a childcare setting, someone who has an openness to work collaboratively with a team, a willingness to be flexible for a variety of duties to support the programs and a strong passion for early childhood education.
