Rainbow Day Nursery is hiring for a before and after school inclusion facilitator in our School Age A program of 35 children ages 5-12 years. 

School days: 4 inclusion hours and 0.5 regular hours on split shift (7:00-9:00am and 3:00-5:30pm; afternoon shift is 2:00-5:30pm on early dismissal days)

In-service/school breaks: 8 inclusion hours 

Additional hours may also be available. Schedules may vary. Candidates must be available to work all shifts within centre operating hours (7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday).

Starting wage $19.40 per hour (inclusion); non-inclusion hours are paid at the rate of $19.40 per hour with 40-hour training, or $16.00 without.

The chosen candidate will:

• Provide a safe, caring and educational environment 
• Observe and anticipate children’s triggers and offer tools to help regulate (e.g. deep breathing techniques, fidget gadgets, offering safe places, sensory exploration, etc.)
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with families
• General daily responsibilities include diapering, assisting children in the bathroom, providing lunch and snacks, outdoor play, activities, and group activities such as circle time
• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities for preschool children
• Be a supportive team member who is able to collaborate and work with other team members to achieve program goals
• Other duties as assigned
