Morrow Early Learning and Child Development is a multi-site program that provides preschool and school-age care to families in the St. Vital area. MELCD provides an inclusive, multicultural environment with services available to children with all abilities.
We are currently seeking a full-time Child Care Assistant for a school age program.
The Ideal Candidate Is
Successful candidates:
- Have an understanding of child development and able to implement a play-based curriculum based on the needs and interests of the children
-Build trusting relationships with the children and their families
-Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-Be part of a nurturing, inclusive and supportive environment.
-Understand Best Practices/child care regulations.
Employment Requirements include:
-MINIMUM of 1 year of experience working with school age children in a child care setting
- Be flexible with shift times (rotation); 2- hour break when school is in session
- Have CCA classification by the province of Manitoba. *40-hour course or equivalence (Mandatory)
- Current CPR certification
- Able to obtain their child abuse registry check, and criminal record check.
-Commit to Kids Certificate
