Inclusion Support Worker (School-Age)

K.I.D.S. Inc. is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and committed Inclusion Support Worker (CCA) to join our team and provide support to a school-age child with additional support needs.
The Inclusion Support Worker will be responsible for adapting and implementing programming to meet the individual needs, interests, and goals of the child. The Inclusion Support Worker will work collaboratively with the child, family, educators, staff, and outside specialists to promote the child's development, participation, independence, and enjoyment within the program.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with older school-age children, particularly children with Autism and/or ADHD diagnoses.
Experience with inclusion support, Individual Program Plans, behavioural or developmental supports, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team would be considered an asset.
Split Shift hours: 7:00-9:00 am & 2:30-5:30 pm
Additional Hours: Full-time hours are available on Inservice Days and during Spring, Summer, and Winter Breaks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the child's Individual Program Plan (IPP) to support the achievement of identified goals.
- Adapt and modify programming to meet the child's individual needs, abilities, interests, and developmental goals.
- Create opportunities for the child to be fully involved and engaged in the program.
- Observe, document, and maintain clear and accurate written observation notes in English regarding the child's progress, accomplishments, participation, and development.
- Communicate effectively with the child's family, educators, staff, and specialists to support the child's development and overall enjoyment of the program.
- Work collaboratively with Early Childhood Educators and other team members.
- Follow applicable childcare licensing practices, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support the child's participation, inclusion, and success within the school-age program.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, patient, and supportive relationship with the child.

Required Qualifications
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Criminal record and Child Abuse Registry checks
- Commit to Kids Training
- CCA 40 hour course (or in progress)
- Has a working knowledge of all licensing Practices and regulations
- Has experience working with children with additional support needs
- Fluent in written English.
