Seven Oaks Sadok Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, patient, and reliable Inclusion Support Staff member to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide individualized support to children who may require additional assistance to participate fully in the child care program. This position is ideal for someone who has experience working with children with diverse abilities, developmental needs, behavioural challenges, or other additional support needs and who is committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for every child.

The position provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with our child care team while supporting children's participation, development, well-being, and sense of belonging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to children who require additional assistance to participate in daily activities and programming.

  • Support children's social, emotional, physical, communication, and developmental needs.

  • Assist children in participating in play-based learning, group activities, routines, and transitions.

  • Adapt activities, materials, and approaches to support individual abilities and learning needs.

  • Promote positive behaviour through patient, respectful, and supportive strategies.

  • Help children develop independence, communication, social skills, and confidence.

     

The Ideal Candidate Is

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, dependable, and patient individual who genuinely enjoys working with children and understands the importance of inclusion and individualized support.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children who may have developmental delays, disabilities, autism, behavioural or emotional needs, communication challenges, or other additional support needs. They will be able to adapt activities and routines to meet individual needs, build positive relationships with children and families, and work collaboratively with educators and other professionals.

Qualifications

Valid Manitoba Child Care Assistant (CCA) Certification.

Experience working with children with additional support needs, developmental disabilities, autism, behavioural needs, or other diverse abilities is strongly preferred.

Experience in child care, education, special education, early childhood development, disability support, or a related field is an asset.

Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Valid Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.

Completion of, or willingness to complete, the required 40-hour course within the first year of employment.

Ability to understand and respond to individual children's needs.

Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
