Primary Responsibilities: 

Leadership & Staff Supervision

  • Supervise, mentor, and support staff to ensure quality performance
  • Conduct employee evaluations and support professional development
  • Providing support to students and their mentors while strengthening partnerships between colleges and our team
  • Prepare and manage staff schedules to maintain required ratios
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment
  • Act on behalf of the Executive Director in their absence

Licensing & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Manitoba Child Care Licensing Standards
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff and child records
  • Oversee emergency procedures, drills, and safety protocols
  • Assist with inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed

Children & Families

  • Ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate programming
  • Maintain safe, healthy, and supportive environments for children
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding policies, incidents, and program updates
  • Support positive behavior management and safe arrival/departure procedures

Administration & Operations

  • Support daily Centre operations and policy implementation
  • Assist with payroll, fee monitoring, budgeting, and financial tracking
  • Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies
  • Oversee documentation, reporting, and communication systems Childcarepro


 

The Ideal Candidate Is

  • Holds a classification of ECE lll in the Province of Manitoba
  • Strong organizational skills, efficiency, and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Passion for creating a positive, nurturing environment for children
  • Current First aid and CPR training
  • Circle of Security training is an asset
  • Commit to Kids certificate
  • Has at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Has experience and knowledge with opening a new facility
  • Experience Mentoring and Managing Staff is an asset
  • Will work closely with Executive Director
  • The possibility of a position as an Executive Director
