Child Care Assistant

The Tova Vickar & Family Childcare Centre is brand new private Jewish play-based centre located in Congregation Shaarey Zedek. We are looking for multiple students/adults to work as casual CCA’s in our infant/toddler and preschool rooms. We are looking for staff with strong communication and verbal skills who can work before and/or after-school hours (eg. 7:15 – 9:00am and/or 3:00 – 5:30pm) or wanting to be on our substitute list.

• 18 years of age or older
•  High school education or equivalent preferred.
•  Work well with a team of Early Childhood Educator and Childcare Assistants.
• Ensure compliance with the government regulation.
• Have a clear Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check. (or willing to apply)
• Have a current or willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certificate.
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Be an active participant in the children’s play and the daily program.
• Greet families as they arrive to drop off and pick up their children.
• Be a positive role model.
• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

Knowledge of Jewish traditions is an asset but not required, if open to learning.
