Early Childhood Educator

Working with a strong team including the program Supervisor, co-workers, family, Assistant Director and other behavior specialists and Inclusion Facilitator will provide support to our Preschool Program

This program consists of 30 school age children and 10 kinders.

Provide a safe, caring and educational environment
Provide additional support within the program to help co-regulate children with additional support needs
Observe and anticipate children’s triggers and offer tools to help regulate (e.g. deep breathing techniques, fidget gadgets, offering safe places, sensory exploration, etc.)
Participate in daily bus runs/school pick-up/drop-off
Other duties as assigned

Familiarity with emergent curriculum/play-based approach
Familiarity with Circle of Security philosophy an asset but not required
Ability to take initiative and think outside the box
Eligible candidates must obtain/provide:
ECE II
First Aid/CPR
Current Criminal/Child Abuse Check
Center-provided Circle of Security training
