Salary: $19.87 – $21.60/hr

Eligible Candidates

Qualifications

 

Education

  • ECE II or ECE III Classification from the Manitoba Child Care Program
  • Current Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Certificate

 

Skills, Expertise and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with/caring for children in a child care facility
  • Demonstrated understanding of child development theory and principles and ability to put that understanding into practice
  • Experience supervising and engaging children throughout the day, during transition, individual and group activities and free and structured play
  • Ability to use a range of child development approaches, skills and techniques to optimize each child’s experience and opportunity to leave and develop
  • Experience taking active steps to identify and manage risks to ensure the safety of all children
  • Experience managing behavioral issues in accordance with established policies and practices
  • Experience documenting relevant information regarding children and families and record program information in accordance with applicable standards and policies
