Child Care Assistant

Crestview School Children’s Centre, a preschool and school age childcare facility is seeking a full time employee to join our preschool team as inclusion support.  Our centre is open 7:00am – 5:30pm, shifts can vary between these times as needed. This position requires the CCA to recognize the uniqueness and interests of all children and assist them daily to achieve their goals.  You will be responsible to plan and prepare activities and experiences.  You will be communicating professionally with colleagues, families and outside agencies.

Position would start immediately.

Eligible Candidates will be or possess the following:

·         Be 18 years of age or older with experience working in a child care facility in a must

·         Possess a clear and current (within the last 3 months) Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as well as a clear and current (within the last 3 months) Child Abuse Registry Check or be willing to get them upon hire.

·         Possess a Valid First Aid/CPR certificate or be willing to obtain one before hire.

·         Strong professional work ethic, punctuality and reliability are both a must

·         Open minded with an ability to work with a diverse group of people

·         Ability to take initiative as well as take direction

·         Dependable, flexible, responsible

·         Ability to work well as a team member

·         Have a warm, nurturing, fun personality

·         Ability to set healthy boundaries while maintaining a warm and developmentally appropriate relationship with children and families in our care

·         Quick learner
