Inclusion Facilitator

Description

-Responsible for providing a positive learning environment for all children.
-Implements daily, a balance of active/quiet, indoor/outdoor, free/structured, individual/group activities that will encourage physical, social, intellectual, emotional, and sensory development at the appropriate level for the child in accordance with the guidelines set out by the various therapists and agencies.
-Act as liaison between Centre, parents, school, and additional support workers.
-Ability to use positive guidance techniques.
-Positive leadership and behaviour management skills.
-Willingness to learn new techniques specific to child with additional support needs.
-Enhance staff to child ratio and assist in child integration into program.
-Willingness to adapt and learn developmentally appropriate programming skills.
-Will work one on one with child with additional needs as required.
-Experience or willingness to learn needs specific to child diagnosis.

Ability to interact positively with children, families, staff & community members.

Professional and responsible.

Self-criminal record check and child abuse registry check an asset.

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate an asset.

40 hour training in childcare related course an asset.

Eligible Candidates

Inclusion Support

Location: School Age Site (Wayoata St.)

8.5 hours with 1 hour unpaid lunch & approx.  4-5 hours.

Alternating hours per day  Monday – Friday to accommodate Kindergarten schedule. Before & After opposite days
