Before-and-or-After School CCA – Part-Time

Child Care Assistant

Cairns Children’s Centre is looking for someone to join our team of dedicated Educators!

Our Bonnycastle School location (on Chancellor Drive, near U of M) needs a before-and/or-after school person, to work part-time with our awesome School-Age group, taking turns with colleagues to implement activities (planning is shared and you’d be given paid time) and explore our outdoor spaces with the children. Hours of work: 7 or 7:30-9am and/or 3 or 3:30 until 5 or 5:30pm, depending on your availability. The hours would be between 15 and 20 hours each week, and more hours are possible on Inservice days and school holidays (Full time in the summer is available!)

Rate of pay is $15.25-18.49 per hour (depending on experience and Education), plus 4% vacation pay on each cheque. We also offer sick time and paid professional development/staff meetings.

Experience working in a School Age program is an asset, however the Centre is happy to train the right candidate.

Fluency in English - both verbal and written - is a requirement.
