Dawn and Dusk Before and After School Program is a 100-space child care centre located in John de Graff School in North Kildonan.
We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator to join our team who has an enthusiasm for the outdoors and a passion for emergent curriculum.

We are hiring for the following split shift position:
Monday-Friday
6:45am – 11:30am
and
3:15pm – 6:00pmm

Dawn and Dusk offers a split shift incentive. All employees who work a split shift will receive a value of 1/2hr pay each day. This means you will work 7.5 hours and be paid for 8 hours.

Eligible Candidates

Eligible candidates will:
-have a Province of Manitoba ECE II/III Certificate
-have current criminal record and child abuse registry checks
-have current First Aid/CPR Certificate
-have knowledge of ELCC regulations
-have knowledge of current practices and trends in Early Learning and Child Care
-have proven conflict resolution skills
-have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-have the ability to lead difficult conversations
-have strong behaviour management skills
-have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
-have the ability to complete written documentation for families and professionals
-have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
-have working knowledge of computer systems
-have the ability to show initiative
-have a team oriented attitude
-be able to work in a fast paced environment
-be creative and able to think outside the box
-be passionate about the child care field
-have Circle of Security and Commit to Kids training, or willing to obtain
-have a clear understanding of, and experience in, emergent curriculum
-have confidence to work alone with 15 children
